The details are below for the “Quality and Efficiency of Municipal Services” Project of Şişli, Manisa, Tarsus and Çorum Municipalities (Turkey) and Huddinge Municipality (Sweden) to determine and apply standardised and comparable indicators, measuring quality and efficiency, related to mutual municipal services:
Title of the Project: Quality and Efficiency of Municipal Services
Project Partners: Huddinge, Şişli, Manisa, Tarsus, Çorum
Project Duration: 24 months (possibly 12 additional months to refine results and dissemination to other municipalities and UMT/SALAR)
Project Objectives: The overall objective is to develop the quality and efficiency in our municipalities. The specific objective is to determine and apply standardised and comparable indicators, measuring quality and efficiency, related to mutual municipal services.
Target group(s): Staff working with quality management and data collection, staff working in the measured areas, decision makers (senior management), mayors and councillors
Final beneficiaries: Citizens, politicians, other municipalities, UMT
Expected results: Standardized and comparable indicators; initial measuring of the indicators, analyse and comparison of the results; knowledge and awareness raising among staff; comparison-network; better performance programmes and improved decision-making.
Main activities: Defining common services and indicators related to them; current situation analysis (e.g. What do we measure? How often?); doing the actual measuring; analysing the results including comparison; staff training; producing material for information on the project in each municipality.
